Social Distancing in coronavirus (COVID-19) is a non pharmaceutical measures used to prevent the transmission of a contagious disease. It is important because coronavirus (COVID-19) is most likely to spread from person-to-person via coughs or sneezing. This post point out the way how we can take precaution in home, public space, gatherings, social interaction as a responsibility.

What is Social Distancing:

Social distancing is a deliberately increasing the physical space between people to reduce transmission. It guides how to maintain space between yourself and other people outside of your home.

It is also called as physical distancing

In social distancing we need to maintain more than 1 meter (min 4 feet) distance between yourself and other person.

Why Social Distancing or Physical Distancing required?

As coronavirus (COVID-19) is most likely to spread from person-to-person via coughs or sneezing. When someone coughs or sneezes they spray small liquid droplets from their nose or mouth which may contain virus. If you are too close or less than 1 meter from the coughs or sneezing person, you can breathe in the droplets, including the COVID-19 virus if the person coughing has the disease.
