Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MHT CET 2018) is a state level entrance examination conducted for pharmacy course by Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) State Common Entrance Test Cell, Government .of Maharashtra. MHT CET 2018 exam syllabus will be based on the syllabus of 11th and 12th standard of the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education. This article focus on MHT CET 2018 Pharmacy Entrance Exam Syllabus, Marking Scheme which scheduled on 10-05-2018

To score in MHT CET 2018, students should be prepared and well aware about the topics. This entrance exam consist three sections which includes question papers viz. Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

Each section (among three) carry 100 marks. Here is the latest detailed subject topic wise MHT CET 2018 Pharmacy Entrance Exam syllabus which may cover under the entrance exam:-

Mathematics:-

Mathematical logic, Matrices, Trigonometric function, Pair of straight line, Circle, Conic, Vector, Three dimensional geometry, Lines, Plane, linear programming problems, Continuity, Differentiation, Applications of derivative, Integration, Applications of definite integral, Differential equation, Statistics, Probability distribution, Bernoulli trials and Binomial distribution

Physics:-

Circular motion, Gravitation, Rotational motion, Oscillations, Elasticity, Surface tension, Wave motion, Stationary waves, Kinetic theory of gases and Radiation, Wave theory of light, Interference and diffraction, Electrostatics, Current electricity, Magnetic effects of electric current, Magnetism, Electromagnetic inductions, Electrons and photons, Atoms, Molecules and Nuclei, Semiconductors, Communication systems.

Chemistry:-

Some Basic Concepts of Chemistry, States of Matter: Gases and Liquids, Structure of Atom, Periodic Table, Redox Reactions, Chemical Equilibrium, Surface Chemistry, Nature of Chemistry Bond, Hydrogen, s-Block Elements (Alkali and Alkaline Earth Metals) Group 1 and Group 2 Elements, p-Block Elements, Basic Principles and Techniques in Organic Chemistry, Alkanes, Aromatic Compounds, Environmental Chemistry concepts

Biology:-

Section I – Botany

Genetic Basis of Inheritance, Gene: its nature, expression and regulation, Biotechnology and its application, Biotechnology: Process and Application, Biology and Human Welfare, Enhancement in Food Production, Microbes in Human Welfare, Plant Physiology: Photosynthesis, Respiration, Reproduction in Organisms: Reproduction in Plants, Ecology and Environment, Organisms and Environment -I : Habitat and Niche.

Section II – Zoology

Genetics and Evolution: – Origin and the Evolution of Life: Chromosomal Basis of Inheritance, Biotechnology and its application: Genetic Engineering and Genomics, Biology and Human Welfare: Human Health and Diseases, Animal Husbandry, Human Physiology: Circulation, Excretion and osmoregulation, – Control and Co-ordination, Reproduction in Organisms: Human Reproduction, Ecology and Environment: Organisms and Environment-II:

Marking Scheme for MHT CET 2018 Pharmacy Entrance Exam Marking Scheme:-

The MHT-CET2017 will consist of three question papers. Each paper is of 100 marks.

There is no choice among the questions, i.e. all questions have to be answered.

Note-:

1] The candidate seeking admission to Pharmacy/ Pharm. D degree course it is mandatory that the candidate must appear for Paper II as well as in Paper-I and/or Paper-III.

2] Candidates will be provided with separate OMR answer sheets with each question paper. At the end of each paper, candidate will hand over the OMR Answer sheet to the invigilator. Candidates are permitted to take the Question Booklet outside the exam hall only after completion of test

3] The candidate will be required to mark the correct answer by blackening the corresponding circle against the serial number of the question in the answer sheet with black ink ballpoint pen only.

4] Out of four circles provided for selection of an answer against a question, the candidate should fill up one circle only.

5] Changing an answer is not allowed

6] Candidate should completely darken one and the only one best response (circle)

7] Each correct answer will be given mark/(s).

8] There shall be no negative marking for wrong answers.
